Situated on West Esplanade in North Vancouver, overlooking Waterfront Park, Le Bistro Chez Michel boasts a second floor breathtaking view of the Burrard Inlet and the sparkling lights of downtown Vancouver-undoubtedly one of the best vistas of the city, especially from the patio in the summer.
Le Bistro Chez Michel, owned by Philippe and Michel Segur, two brothers educated in Toulouse, France in the 1970's, is unique in the Lower Mainland. The Segurs first brought their experience and training in French cuisine and restaurant management to the North Shore in 1979, when Michel opened the Restaurant Chez Michel in West Vancouver.
Joseph Lassaga, Executive Chef at Le Bistro Chez Michel, is from the Basque country in France and was trained in Biarritz. He started his culinary career in Paris, moved to Vancouver in 1979 and started working at Chez Michel in West Vancouver. He is well known and respected for his Bouillabaisse, seafood dishes and his depth of and range in all aspects of French cuisine.Le Bistro's special group menus can adapt to virtually all circumstances, from weddings to conferences both casual and formal.
